Six Feet Lane – 六尺巷 据《桐城县志》记载,清代(康熙年间)文华殿大学士 兼 礼部尚书 张英 的家人与邻居吴家 为了围墙发生了争执,家人飞书京城,要 张英 用权势“摆平”吴家。 而张英回了一首诗 “千里修书只为墙,让他三尺又何妨。 万里长城今犹在,不见当年秦始皇。” 家人见书,主动退让了三尺,而邻居吴氏深受感动,也退让三尺, 于是两家的院墙之间有一条「六尺巷」。这个美谈一直流传至今。 不计较的人生,才是快乐的人生。 乐于分享人生,更是得胜有余的人生。
