A graduate of the Central Academy of Arts and Design in 1969, Mr Wang was engaged in textile and package design for 12 years. He joined the Beijing Institute of Industrial Design in 1982 as a lecturer and went on to become the Head of Department of Decoration. Mr Wang is also a member of Beijing Society of Arts and winner of numerous awards and prizes.
He migrated to Australia in 1988 to further advance his career as an artist. He had taught brush painting at Kingston Art Workshop, the Canberra Museum and Art Gallery. He also taught pastel portraits at Artisan Art & Craft Gallery. He is now spending his time fully on his own projects.
