He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. 17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.. (Psalms 18:16-17)

This Psalm brings us back to the story of Moses going through the Red Sea. When we feel overwhelmed by the circumstances around us, God reaches us from a place of perspective and power. God is love. Love is the core of Christian belief. We should treat one another with love.

*****

‘He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.’ (Psalms 23:2)

Fear God and you will experience His love and guidance.

*****

‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.’ (Matthew 5:9)

When interact with others, we should make peace always as this is instructed by Jesus.

*****

‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ (Mark 1:17)

Jesus is God. Only God could command this authority and promises like this.

*****

‘Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice!’ (Luke 11:13)

Having joy shows the gratitude and trust of God. It helps you to relax and be daring in doing the right thing.

*****

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!’ (Luke 11:13)

Faith overcomes anxiety. By waiting upon the Lord, we will experience His abundant love and grace.

*****

‘Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way.’ (Isaiah 35:3)

When you care for others, it would also help you grow spiritually and maturely.

*****

‘The king said to me, ‘What is it you want?’ Then I prayed to the God of heaven.’ (Nehemiah 2:4)

Pray first before reply. This was shown as an example by prophet Nehemiah how he walked with God.

*****

‘Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.’ (Philippians 4:9)

What Paul has been passionately teaching us and reminding us is for our good so that we can enjoy the abundant love and unlimited grace of God.

*****

‘Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?’ declares the Lord.

‘These are the ones I look on with favour: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word..’ (Isaiah 66:2)

God creates everything and He owns everything. What He prefers are those who are humble and fear Him.

*****

‘So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.’ (Acts 24:16)

The Apostle Paul was able to speak clearly of his principles when in court and stood for trial. A testimony of glorifying God.

*****

‘Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.’ (Romans 13:8)

Instead of blaming others; we should review ourselves and work diligently in reverence of God’s teaching. That will please God.

*****

‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.’ (Matthew 5:3)

Not depending on the worldly treasure, not boasting your talent and ability but humble before men and God, then you will understand the fruitfulness of faith.

*****

I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: ‘Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments,  (Daniel 9:4)

The prayer of Daniel shown above shows his humbleness and respect before God.

*****

‘‘So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.’ (1 Corinthians 10:31)

The Bible is the guide for all believers of whatever they do. That’s the only way to please God.

*****

‘‘And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these.’ (Matthew 6:28-29)

If we truly believe who holds tomorrow, we shall not worry anymore of our future.

*****

‘My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways,.’ (Proverbs 23:26)

This is the cry of love, the promise of blessings; God prepares much more than what we expected.

*****

‘God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil?’ (Numbers 23:19)

When we truly know God, we will not have doubt instead we have every hope for life.

*****

‘Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.’ (James 1:2-4)

Be perseverance and be patient is rightful in God’s eyes when dealing with life issues.
