God is gracious to Israelites. Often God warns the Israelites that they would receive punishment if they disobey His law.
Nowadays God also gracious to us all. The Bible is clearly teaching us that we should listen to His Word in a way that we should consider the consequences like the Israelites.

When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast. (Job 22:29)
It does not matter how others treating us. The key is whatever we do everything to please our Lord. The peace and grace that given to us will exceed our expectations.
